Understanding the problem.
Moving from on-premises Citrix to Citrix Cloud on Azure meant supporting a substantial application estate as well as the desktop platform. The programme covered a 20,000-seat environment and more than 1,000 applications.

02 / MY INVESTIGATION
Following the evidence.
I investigated application and environment faults as part of the migration team, working across the boundaries of desktop delivery, operating systems and application behaviour.
The work included vendor defect reproduction, build and authentication failures, and Windows 11 deployment and packaging issues. Each required tracing the particular failure rather than treating every issue as a platform fault.
03 / IMPLEMENTATION
Putting the work into practice.

Remediated application and environment defects, including task-sequence fixes, repackaging and dynamic user/machine configuration changes.

Built App-V infrastructure and automated cross-region disaster-recovery replication, with documentation and knowledge transfer to the managed service provider.

Reverse engineered a legacy VBScript launcher and rebuilt its dependencies in PowerShell with graphical interfaces and naming-convention-driven endpoint assembly for AWS access. Packaged and deployed the replacement as a seamless Citrix application.

Contributed within a small team that remediated 4,000+ defects across 1,000+ applications in a 20,000-seat environment.

05 / ENGINEERING PERSPECTIVE
What I take forward.
A migration is successful when the applications and operational processes work together. Detailed defect investigation and a useful handover matter alongside the platform design.
Organisation names are generalised. These accounts describe my work without publishing client systems, internal logs or proprietary source code.
