02 / SELECTED ENGINEERING WORK

The work behind the résumé.

A closer look at the problems, my contribution and the outcomes across enterprise systems and software.

01ENTERPRISE DELIVERY

Moving desktops. Resolving the complexity.

Cloud Crowd / Suncorp

The context

An enterprise migration from on-premises Citrix to Citrix Cloud on Microsoft Azure, supporting a 20,000-seat environment.

My contribution

Investigated and remediated application and environment faults. Built App-V infrastructure, automated cross-region disaster-recovery replication and handed over the design to the managed service provider.

Citrix CloudAzureApp-VAutomation

The outcome

Contributed within a small team that resolved 4,000+ defects across 1,000+ applications.

02DEFECT INVESTIGATION

From a vendor fault to reproducible evidence.

Cloud Crowd / Suncorp

The context

A vendor defect required investigation across application and network behaviour.

My contribution

Wrote socket-level reproduction code to isolate the behaviour and give vendors and network engineers a concrete way to investigate it.

Socket-level codeRoot-cause analysisVendor escalation

The outcome

Provided actionable evidence for vendor and network investigation.

03PRACTICAL AI

Connecting AI to the way clients work.

XoomAI

The context

Clients needed business processes translated into AI-enabled workflows and integrations.

My contribution

Connected APIs and MCP servers, configured OpenAI workflows with a Kimi fallback and Gemini image processing, and implemented guardrails. Iterated directly with clients to refine behaviour.

OpenAIKimiGeminiAPIs & MCPFirecrawl

The outcome

Delivered AI deployments for 5–6 clients, with integrations spanning business systems and productivity platforms.

04AUTHENTICATION & SESSIONS

Taking authentication beyond initial login.

Claratti

The context

Claratti Workspace needed additional authentication checks within the workspace experience.

My contribution

Developed authentication and session controls and maintained in-house software alongside Citrix and Remote Desktop Services environments.

Claratti WorkspaceTwo-factor authenticationSession controls

The outcome

Implemented additional two-factor authentication checks beyond initial login.

03 / INDEPENDENT INFRASTRUCTURE

A working lab. A place to go deeper.

Designed and implemented to support everyday home connectivity and ongoing lab development, with network separation and shared DNS.

LAB-MEDIA

VLAN segmentation, trunk/access port profiles and zone-based firewall policies control inter-network traffic and separate household devices from lab infrastructure.

UniFi network implementation

  • Cloud Gateway Fiber (UCG-Fiber)
  • USW Pro XG 8 PoE switch
  • U7 Pro XGS access point

Deployed the network end to end, including VLANs, port profiles and firewall policies.

Virtualisation & core services

Implemented Proxmox VE hypervisors with dedicated management, storage, egress and AI network segments. Deployed two Pi-hole instances for shared DNS and configured DHCP services.

Linux investigation in practice

Diagnosed DNS resolution, DHCP lease allocation, Linux networking, SSH and NTP behaviour using command-line tools and service logs.

Implemented outcome. Segmented home and lab infrastructure with Proxmox VE and operational shared DNS. Core Services has DNS operational; additional services are planned.

Ongoing development

Extending the lab and deepening security knowledge.

PLANNING

UniFi MCP integration

Planning a Model Context Protocol integration for UniFi network infrastructure.

ARCHITECTURE

Browser privacy extension

Developing architecture for browser privacy checks focused on DNS and TLS verification.

HANDS-ON LEARNING
